Designing and building a bespoke digital interface for luxury safes—empowering users to personalize their secure experience with multi-user access, curated watch collections, and intuitive control of lighting, music, and climate.

Challenge‍

Obtra was developing a next-generation luxury safe, engineered not only for physical security but for digital elegance and user personalization. The interface needed to feel high-end yet intuitive, futuristic but familiar—capable of adapting to multiple users, preferences, and devices.

What We Did

End-to-End Experience Design

We approached Obtra not as a UI project, but as a fully integrated product experience—designing how the user sees, hears, and interacts with the safe from the moment they approach it. From ambient glow transitions to responsive audio feedback, every touchpoint was considered part of the luxury.

Visual Language & Motion

Developed a visual system grounded in precision and elegance: dark environments, subtle glassmorphism, and glowing radial accents. Micro-animations and transitions reinforce the product’s sense of intelligence and fluidity, making every action feel deliberate.

Sound & Haptic Feedback Strategy

Designed a complementary sound palette for key interactions (unlock, error, confirm), paired with proposed haptic feedback to add tactile dimension to the experience—particularly during authentication and drawer access.

Modular Display Logic

Created modular screens and control surfaces that adapt based on user profile, access level, or safe configuration. Whether adjusting humidity, selecting a watch, or customizing lighting presets—each module feels native to the whole.

Luxury-Grade Personalization

Every user has a unique digital profile including language, fingerprint, display preference, and environment settings. This personalization is reflected in how the safe greets the user, responds to their presence, and returns to their last-used mode.
